After months of preparation, the MND Association Manchester & District Branch ‘Winter Ball’ at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel ran perfectly, with not a hitch in sight.
Imogen-Paige Music did a fabulous job entertaining at the ‘Welcome Drinks Reception’, St.Hugh’s Primary School Choir with a lovely, moving rendition of ‘(Something Inside) So Strong’ and ‘Ding Dong Merrily on High’. Sarah Ezekiel & Cheddar Gorgeous presented a video snippet of Sarah Ezekiel’s MND story.
Just before dinner was served ‘Heads & Tails’ got everyone in the mood. ‘Spot The Ball’ (Credit: Michael Berkeley Photography) which proved popular and was a lot of fun, as was Goodman Green Magic, astounding everyone with his trickery!
After the wonderful 3 course dinner it was all hands on deck with host John Collins and the branch volunteers for the amazing Raffle and Auction which raised a fantastic amount. Andyflashdj finished off the night in style with a full dance floor from start to finish.

The volunteers are busy totalling up the money raised and we will reveal this when we have the exact figure but it’s looking very likely that we’ll exceed all our expectations from previous years!
