Karen Tinniswood, along with her husband Brian, are raising money in loving memory of Karen’s Dad Carl for Motor Neurone Disease Association.
“My dad Carl Williams got diagnosed with MND in February 2023 and sadly passed on 16th January 2024. In memory of him, and to raise money and awareness for MND Association, specifically the Manchester Branch which helped my dad so much. Brian and I are taking on the 100km challenge on the weekend of June 7th and 8th in the Lake District Challenge. 100km each, 200km total, up and down hills come rain or shine. My dad always loved the outdoors and the Lake District was one of his and my mum’s favourite places to go together or with the grandchildren.
Dad really wanted to give back to the charity for everything they did for him, and I promised I’d help him do it. It is only recently that I feel I have come out of the fog enough to step up to something challenging and I feel this is a pretty big one for us both. I know money is tight for everyone right now, but any support you can give will be greatly appreciated and will help spur us on for the charity.
